KEY at the BAFTA's for 2020

It is great to see Jack Lowden and Michael Ward, that were in Key Casting jobs, nominated for the EE Rising Star Award at this years BAFTA’s.

Amongst many other high profile films Jack Lowden has appeared in this year it is within ‘Fighting With My Family’, the true to life comedy, where he has really stood out. Despite Jack’s character not necessarily being the lead, it is without doubt his storyline that packs that emotional punch. With it portrayed with such raw and gut-wrenching emotion it is undeniably why he has earned himself the nomination. And rightly so, we say.

Michael Ward has exploded on to the scene with this years, somewhat controversial and hard hitting urban drama, Blue Story, that sees best friends Timmy (Stephen Odubola) and Marco (Micheal Ward) grow up as high school friends but are divided by the city’s postcode war to which there are no winners ... only victims. Michael delivers such a fantastically uncompromising performance that it will no doubt propel his career into nothing but big things in the near future.

The EE award sets out to recognise outstanding achievement by up and coming actors. With the prestige of previous winning names that include Tom Hardy, James McAvoy, Eva Green, Kristen Stewart, Tom Holland – and last year’s winner Letitia Wright, it is quickly becoming quite the sort after award.

It is also the only one that is voted by you, the British public, so if you can spare a few minutes please click the link and make your vote. I know we have! if you cast your vote before 24th January you'll be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to the star-studded BAFTA awards ceremony.
